We are in search of humans who are enthusiastic about the power of street art to join our internship team in 2024. Street Wise interns work both independently and with a small team during weekly virtual or in-person meetings. Our internships are an important part of our ecosystem and a unique opportunity for hands-on learning in many different areas within our three programs: Mural Events, Community Programs & Youth Programs
Internships are customized and co-created with each person so that maximum experience and benefits are achieved for growth and success.
Areas of need include:
Documentary: photo / video shooting and editing
Marketing: social media, web, print, merch
Programs: mural series
Programs: youth
AR & Digital Media
Finance & Operations
Helpful skills and experience (not required)
upper level undergraduate or graduate studies in a related discipline
Highly motivated, organized and detail oriented
Strong interest in or experience with public art, murals, street art, social justice, community engagement, activism, media
Event coordination
Social media
Bilingual, multi-cultural
Design skills
Photography/Video editing
Personal art practice
Details
Volunteer position: (unpaid) credit may be available depending on the institution.
Hours: 3-5 hours per week with 1 hour per week of direct supervision with the Executive Director or Program manager with flexible hours
Location: Our office is located in Boulder at 1035 Pearl Street though most work is done virtually outside of events.
